It’s worth noting that on July 15, 2025, Tesla opened its first showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). It was there that the company officially launched its first car in India, the ‘Tesla Model Y’. So, let’s take a look at the Tesla showroom in Delhi.
Bookings for the Tesla Model Y have opened nationwide. Customers can book it through the company’s official website. However, the company has previously clarified that customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, and Pune will receive priority delivery. Delivery to other cities will then follow.

Tesla launched its first electric car, the Tesla Model Y, alongside the opening of its first showroom in Mumbai, priced at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tesla Model Y comes in two variants. The base model is called Real Wheel Drive (RWD) and the higher-end variant is called Long-Range Rear Wheel Drive (LR-RWD).
The on-road price of the RWD base model (Stealth Grey) is ₹61,06,690 in Delhi and ₹61,07,190 in Mumbai. The difference is minimal. The Ultra Red variant is priced at ₹62,93,540 in Delhi and ₹62,94,040 in Mumbai.
Customers will also have to shell out a hefty amount for the car’s different colors, ranging from ₹95,000 for the lowest price, Pearl White, to ₹1.85 lakh for the highest price, Ultra Red. This means that those choosing the Ultra Red color variant will have to pay the most, though this amount will be included in the car’s price. The car comes in Stealth Gray, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Diamond Black, Glacier Blue, Quick-Silver, and Ultra Red body colors.
Additionally, its cabin is offered in two color options (all-black and black-and-white), which may affect pricing. The Tesla Model Y is offered in two variants: the base model is designated Real Wheel Drive (RWD) and the higher-end variant is designated Long-Range Rear Wheel Drive (LR-RWD).
There is a big difference in the battery pack and driving range of these two variants, its RWD variant gives a driving range of 500 km in a single charge and the long range version gives a driving range of 622 km.

This car features a new aerodynamic refreshed design, a rear lightbar, a new front/rear look, and suspension updates that reduce vibration. Improved ride quality, a new silent tire setup, and the company has also reduced NVH levels, ensuring a completely silent driving experience within the cabin.
Tesla recently launched its first Supercharging station in Mumbai. This new charging center features four V4 Supercharger stations (DC fast chargers) and four destination charging stations (AC chargers). These Supercharging stations will provide extremely fast charging speeds for compatible cars. It’s claimed that they can provide a range of approximately 300 kilometers in just 14 minutes of charging.
Tesla’s Broad Plans for India
Tesla’s India focus isn’t limited to showrooms. The company plans to open additional centers in Bangalore and other cities. By the end of 2025, Tesla will have delivered more than 60 Model Ys in India, based on pre-orders. Benefiting from the government’s FAME-3 scheme and GST exemptions, Tesla is preparing to launch EVs priced under ₹21 lakh. This move will target the mass market, where rivals like Tata and Mahindra are already strong.
India plays a key role in Tesla’s sustainability initiatives. The company will also promote solar rooftops and energy storage solutions. Elon Musk recently tweeted that India will be the epicenter of the EV revolution, and the Delhi showroom is just the beginning. There are challenges—lack of charging infrastructure and import duties—but Tesla’s innovative approach will address these.
Conclusion: A journey that begins in Delhi
The Tesla Delhi Showroom 2025 is a milestone in India’s EV journey. It’s not just a showroom, but a symbol of a sustainable future. Whether you’re an EV enthusiast or a curious buyer, visit Aerocity and experience it. With Tesla, India will not only drive, but also charge its future. Are you ready to be a part of this revolution?
